Finally the wait is over, it has been 5 long years since the last Prodigy album, Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned. Invaders Must Die was finally released a few days ago and after a couple of listens I can safely say that it is pretty much great. The influence of their first two albums can be heard throughout Invaders with Liam Howlett going with the formula which gained them so many fans in the early 90′s. However, it is far from being an old-school rave throw back and for the most part it sounds cutting edge and fresh. The only shame is some of the tracks sound just too much like Pendulum to me. Though the top tracks off the album in my opinion, Omen and Warrior’s Dance, more than make up for this. So just in case you are part of the 1% of the population who hasn’t already, go listen to this album!
